Whitey was an All-Star centerfielder who played left field in the first major league game he ever saw, opening day, April 20, 1948, against the Boston Braves at Shibe Park. He was 21-years of age.

Product of Olney High School, Del is the greatest Philadelphia native ever to wear a Phillies uniform. Ennis, 20, made is first start on April 30, 1946, at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh, playing left field, a position he played the most often. Was the right fielder on 1950 Whiz Kids.

Sherry Magee (1904–14)
Native of Clarendon, PA, the 19-year-old Magee made his debut on June 29, 1904, against Brooklyn at Baker Bowl. Led the Phillies is most games played as an outfielder until Ennis came along. Played majority of his games as a left fielder.

Johnny Callison (1960–68)
Acquired from the White Sox for 3B Gene Freese following the 1959 season. As a 19-year-old Callison played in 49 games with the White Sox that season. Almost all of his Phillies games came as a right fielder.
